common problem
1Are your panels in compliance with international environmental protection standards? For instance, are they of the CARB NAF, F4 star or ENF grade?
• Clearly stated certification level: Describes the certifications that the product has passed (such as China ENF level ≤ 0.025mg/m³, CARB NAF level ≤ 0.04ppm, etc.), and provides the test report number
2How can we ensure that the plates are not damaged during transportation? What should be done in case of delays or damage to the goods?
• Packaging plan: Use IPPC standard wooden crates (with board thickness of ≥ 15mm, filled with EPE foam for shock absorption), and mark the lifting points and moisture-proof labels.
• Insurance coverage: Purchase cargo transportation insurance (under the CIF clause), undertake the transportation risks, and provide the claim processing procedure (for example, if there is any cargo damage, photos must be taken and filed within 48 hours).
3If there are any quality issues upon receiving the goods, how will you handle them?
• Quality inspection process: Before leaving the factory, samples are taken for testing by a third-party institution (such as the GB/T 17657-2013 heavy metal standard), and an inspection report is provided.
• After-sales commitment: The contract clearly stipulates the return and exchange terms (such as the right to raise objections within 15 days, and the option to have the goods reissued or receive a refund within 30 days), and the return shipping cost will also be borne by us.
• Dispute Resolution: Prior to resorting to formal arbitration, we will attempt to negotiate. If negotiations fail, the matter will be referred to the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) for a final decision.
4Can we accept payment by letter of credit? Does the price include customs duties and customs clearance fees?
• Payment method: Acceptance of LC (i.e., sight letter of credit) or 30% advance payment plus 70% payment upon presentation of the bill of lading copy. We reject DP (draft) payment in the future to reduce credit risks.
• Cost Breakdown: The quotation specifies FOB or CIF terms (CIF includes marine insurance, while FOB requires the buyer to bear the freight costs). Remind the buyer that the target country may impose anti-dumping duties.
• Exchange rate risk: It is recommended to lock in the exchange rate or use the RMB for settlement (such as through the preferential tax rates under the RCEP agreement).
